Majid Michel is a Ghanaian actor known for ‘’A Sting in Tale’’ (2009), ‘’4Play’’ (2010), ‘’Somewhere in Africa’’ (2011), ''The Price'' (2012), ‘’Forgetting June’’ (2013), ‘’Being Mrs. Elliot’’ (2014), ‘’Road to Yesterday’’ (2015), and ‘’Slow Country’’ (2017). In 2012, he received the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards for his performance in ‘’Somewhere in Africa’’.

Born on September 22, 1980, in Cantonments, Accra, to a Ghanaian mother, Paulina Olympio (died, 2014), and a Lebanese father, Michael Michel-Erawoc. Michel has ten siblings, and was raised in Accra. He attended St. Theresa’s Primary School, and Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast.

Michel made his career debut and rose to fame in the TV series, ‘’Things We Do for Love’’, where he earned the nickname ‘’Shaker’’, and has gained continental repute both in Ghallywood (Ghana) and Nollywood (Nigeria) films.
