Bio
Ali Nuhu is a Nigerian actor, screenwriter and filmmaker. He was born on March 15, 1974 to Fatima Karderam Digema and Nuhu Poloma in Maiduguri, Borno State. He grew up in Kano where he attended Riga Special Primary School; Government Secondary Commercial School, Airport road, Kano; and Science Secondary School, Dawakin Tofa. He studied Geography at the University of Jos, and went on to study Film Production and Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. He also partook in a Film training program at the Asian School of Media Studies in Noida, New Delhi.
Nuhu began his career in 1999 as an actor in the Hausa film industry and rose to prominence starring in both English and Hausa language films. Nuhu is married to Maimuna Garba Ja Abdulkadir (m. 2003). He has 2 children.
