Okawa Shaznay is a Cameroonian/Nollywood Actress known for ''Sisters at War'' (2014), ''Iyore'' (2014), and the TV series, ''Delilah: The Mysterious Case of Delilah Ambrose'' (2016-present). She began her acting career in her home country in 2004; and was on tour with the All Africa Theatre group in Houston, Texas, for two summers, playing Ezinne in the stage adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart. In 2016, she won the Exquisite Lady of The Year Award for Best TV Actress for her performance in ''Delilah: The Mysterious Case of Delilah Ambrose''. Okawa Shaznay is the first Cameroonian Actress to successfully break into the Nigerian Film Industry.
Born on May 29, 1986, Shaznay went to Presbyterian Secondary School in Mankon, Bamenda, Cameroon; and Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas, where she holds a degree in Accounting. After a two summer tour of Things Fall Apart, Shaznay went on to feature in a number of African films such as ''8th Commandment'' (2008), ''Caged'' (2009), ''Governor’s Gift'' (2009), ''The Bet'' (2010) and, ''This is Houston'' (2011). In 2013, Shaznay made her African big screen debut in Frank Rajah Arase’s film, ''Cheaters'' and made her Nollywood debut in the 2014 film, ''Iyore''.
