Against the advice of the entire village, Nkiru (Tana Adelana) waits patiently for the love of her life who travelled abroad but promised to return and marry her. After some years, the boy returns but with a white wife and breaks up with Nkiru. She became the laughing stock of the village all over again, including her step-mother and sister. Having developed a lack of trust for nigerians who travel abroad, she is unable to recognise love when she sees it again.
