Lydia Forson is an award winning Ghanaian Film and Television Actress, Screenwriter and Producer. She made her acting debut in the TV series “Hotel St. James” (2005), and gained wide recognition in the popular Ghanaian TV series, “Different Shades of Blue”. In 2007, Lydia Forson, emerged 3rd Runner-Up in the Reality Show, Next Movie Star. She won Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 6th Africa Movie Academy Award, for her role in “The Perfect Picture”, and in 2013, she joined the cast of the popular South African soap, “Scandal”. Lydia Forson won Best Actress Award at the 2017, Africa International Film Festival for her role in the comedy-drama, “Keteke”.

Born, 4th of October, 1984 in Mankessim, Ghana, Lydia Forson began her primary education at Wilmore Elementary School, Kentucky, United States of America. She moved back to Ghana at the age of nine and was enrolled at Akosombo International School, and holds a degree in English Language and Information Studies from the University Of Ghana, Legon.

With a career that spans across national borders, Lydia Forson own acting credits in “Hotel St. James” (2005), “Run Baby, Run” (2006), “Different Shades of Blue” (2007), “Scorned” (2008), “The Perfect Picture” (2009), “A Sting in a Tale” (2009), “Masquerades” (2011), “Phone Swap” (2012), “Kamara’s Tree” (2013), “Scandal” (2013), “Keteke” (2017), “Isoken” (2017). Lydia Forson co-wrote and acted in the Nigerian film, “In the Cupboard” (2012), and combined efforts as an Actress, Writer and Producer in “A Letter from Adam” (2014), “Reflections” (2016), “Industreet” (2017)

Lydia Forson is single. She is a campaigner of The Right to be Free Foundation, an organization whose aim is to stop human trafficking in Ghana.
