Kenneth Okonkwo is a Nigerian Actor and Producer known for “Living in Bondage” (1992), “Oganigwe” (1999), “Price of Hatred” (2004), “Persecution” (2007), “Kingdom of Men” (2008), “Dumebi the Dirty Girl”, “Wives on Strike” (2016), and “Wives on Strike: The Revolution” (2017). In 2013, Okonkwo received the AMAA Special Recognition of Pillars of Nollywood Honorary Award; in 2015, he received the City People Special Recognition Award. Okonkwo is one of the pioneers of Nollywood.
Born Kenneth Arinzechukwu Okonkwo on November 6, 1968, to Beatrice and Ozioko Francis Okonkwo in Nsukka, Enugu. Okonkwo holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; and a Masters degree in International and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, Akoka.
Okonkwo, also known as Andy, made his film debut and rose to prominence in the Nollywood classic film, “Living in Bondage”, from where he earned the name Andy, his character name from the film. Prior to his film debut, Okonkwo featured in the rested TV saop, “Ripples”.
