Jackie Appiah (born December 5, 1983) is a Ghanaian Film and Television Actress. She made her acting debut in the TV series, “Things We Do for Love”. In 2007, she won Best Supporting Actress Award at the 3rd Africa Movie Academy Awards, for her role in “Beyonce: The President’s Daughter”. In 2010, she won Best Actress in a Leading Role Award at the 6th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in “The Perfect Picture”, and in 2013, she won Best Actress in a Drama also for “The Perfect Picture” at the 1st Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Jackie Appiah was born in Toronto Canada, the last of five children of Janet Owusu and Kwabena Appiah. She spent the first ten years of her life in Canada before relocating to Ghana. She hails from Kumasi, the capital city of Ashanti region in southern Ghana.

Jackie Appiah’s acting career cuts across national borders. After gaining wide recognition on Ghanaian TV and films such as, “Tentacles”, “Sun City”, “Games People Play”, “Mummy’s Daughter”, “The King is Mine”, and “Princess Tyra”, Jackie Appiah made her Nollywood debut in the film, “Sleepwalker”, opposite Ramsey Nouah, Genevieve Nnaji, and Mercy Johnson. She followed her debut with roles in films such as Black Soul, Bitter Blessing and My Last Wedding.
