Nigerian actress Ngozi Ezeonu was born Ngozi Ikpelue on May 23, 1965, the daughter of Ezenwanyi Joy Nonyelum and D.O Ikpelue, of Ogbunike, Oyi local government area of Anambra State. Ezeonu holds a diploma in journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ikeja, Lagos, and practiced with Radio Lagos before her venture into films. She made her acting debut with a supporting role in Zeb Ejiro’s 1993 film, ''Nneka the Pretty Serpent''. Ezeonu received nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2012; and at the 2nd Nollywood Movies Award in 2013 for her performance in ''Adesuwa''. With a career that spans over two decades, Ezeonu’s rise to prominence is accounted for in over 100 films.
