A very religious father is against the relationship of his matured daughter with a humble guy from a poor background due to his love for his position and reputation. He goes as far as placing her on house arrest and bribing the daughter's boyfriend with a huge sum of money to break up with her. All pleas from his wife and his other children fall on deaf ears.
