Zainab Bukky Ajayi (February 2, 1934- July 6, 2016) was a Nigerian actress. She had her primary and secondary education in Nigeria before proceeding to England on a Federal Government scholarship for higher education. Upon her return to Nigeria in 1965, Ajayi worked as a TV presenter and newscaster for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in 1966, and made her acting debut in the rested Television drama series, ‘’Village Headmaster’’. On March 5, 2016, Ajayi was honored with an Industry Merit Award at the 4th Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. On July 6, 2016, Ajayi died at her home in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. She is the mother of actor, Olakunle Fawole.
