Amaechi Muonagor is a Nigerian Actor known for ''Ukwa'' (2000), ''Issakaba'' (2001), ''Aki na Ukwa'' (2002), ''The Lost Half'' (2015), and ''Meet the In-Laws'' (2016). He came into limelight in the 1999 film, ''Taboo'', and rose to prominence in the epic classic film, ''Igodo'' (1999). In 2016, Muonagor received a nomination for Best Actor in A Comedy at the 5th Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for his performance in ''Meet the In-Laws''.
Born in Obosi, Anambra State, Muonagor attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Obosi; Oraifite Grammar School; and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, from where he holds a degree in Statistics and Economics.
Prior to his acting career, Muonagor worked with the News Agency of Nigeria and left as a Principal Commercial Officer. In an interview with Yes! Magazine, Muonagor stated that he became an Actor by accident. He revealed he got the role of ''Akunatakasi'' in ''Taboo'' after he made acquaintance with some of the film's production personnel at a bar in National Theatre, Lagos. Muonagor is one of the pioneers of Nollywood and has established himself as one of the respected Actors in the Nigerian Film Industry. Muonagor is married to Hope Chikodi Muonagor. On November 26, 2017, Muonagor was installed into the Nze Na Ozo clan of Obosi and Ndigbo as Aguiyi Mbauwa Omeokachie Obosi.
